Tom Burton

Agency: HAMILTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT. CHAPLAINCY

A chaplain is available to the police, firefighters, jail inmates, and residents of Hamilton County for counseling and ministry. Also, members of HDCC conduct Sunday worship one Sunday a month at the jail.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dale and Wendy Leacock

Agency: LOWER CARIBBEAN CHRISTIAN MISSION

The Leacocks have ministered for over 35 years in their home country of Barbados through established churches, a church camp program, missions outreach to other islands, the Lower Caribbean Bible College, and leadership programs. Along with ministering to the Six Roads Church of Christ, Dale has a radio ministry, oversees the camp program, teaches a class on Ethics and Citizenship at the local community college, and serves as the church pianist. Since September 2008, Dale has also ministered to the Grazettes Church of Christ, in addition to his ministry at Six Roads. Grazettes is a small congregation in an urban area that is currently building a new sanctuary and Sunday School / Fellowship Hall. Wendy is now retired from her job at the Bank of Nova Scotia and, along with helping Dale in his ministry, is the Kitchen Coordinator for the camp and is care-giving for her elderly mother.  www.lowercaribbean.com

 

 Theo and Rose Miller

Agency: CLAREMONT CHURCH OF CHRIST

The Millers are church planters and leadership trainers in their native country of Jamaica. They minister specifically to the Claremont Church of Christ and surrounding community. Theo also teaches in several Caribbean Bible colleges. We support the Millers in partnership with the Chatham Christian Church, Chatham, Illinois.

Agency: CAMPUS CRUSADE FOR CHRIST INT'L

Campus Crusade for Christ was founded in 1951 by Bill and Vonette Bright on the campus of UCLA. The ministry has grown to have a presence in 191 countries.  Campus Crusade’s purpose is to help fulfill the Great Commission, in the power of the Holy Spirit, by winning people to faith in Jesus Christ; building them in their faith and sending them to win and build others; and helping the Body of Christ do evangelism and discipleship. Seokin and Esther Payne

Agency: RESTORATION HOUSE MINISTRIES

Seokin and Esther, originally from Liberia, started a church in Providence, RI, where many people from West Africa have settled. Most of these immigrants struggle financially and often work 2 or 3 jobs just to make ends meet. Humberto and Becky Ramirez

Agency: MANO DE AMISTAD/HAND OF FRIENDSHIP

Humberto and Becky have ministered among the immigrant Hispanic population in Indianapolis since 2001.  Their ministry, Mano de Amistad (Hand of Friendship), has worked to form relationships with Hispanics through English as a Second Language classes, home Bible studies, VBS, women’s and children’s clubs, family camps, and community development projects.  The first Hispanic church was launched in 2003.  Humberto and Becky minister to this congregation, which has now joined with Englewood Christian Church to become one church with two cultures. Leaders are being discipled and empowered to plant and water the seeds of the Gospel in Indianapolis, as well as in their hometowns in the countries from which they came.  www.manodeamistad.blogspot.com

 

Rick Wolford

Rick Wolford, a minister and a nurse, is FAME’s Executive Director and is also a member of Hazel Dell Christian Church. FAME is passionate about taking help and hope in the name of Christ to the unreached and underserved in the world through medical evangelism. They provide medical facilities, medicine, and medical equipment to meet both physical and spiritual needs.  Rick and other staff members also lead short-term medical trips throughout the world, taking individuals from the U.S. to assist missionaries and national Christians in touching people with the Good News of Jesus in a tangible way. www.fameworld.org

 

Camp Allendale

Allendale partners with area Christian Churches/Churches of Christ to provide opportunities for teaching, discipleship, and evangelism for children in 1st through 12th grades. The Camp is dedicated to reaching young people and adults with the Gospel of Christ and teaching them how to live a Christian life. Each summer, a variety of camp sessions are offered to challenge campers in their physical and spiritual lives.  In a typical summer, over 60 children from HDCC attend a session of camp at Camp Allendale. In addition to the summer camp program, Allendale also offers a quality retreat facility and support services to churches, schools and non-profit organizations, assisting them to  accomplish their goals of fellowship, renewal,  education, leadership development, and future planning.  www.camp-allendale.org

  

Christ in Youth

Christ in Youth provides creative opportunities for young people around the world to experience the life-changing power of God and His Word.  Young people are connected with Jesus and discipled through conferences, service projects, mission trips and training events.  Youth pastors are encouraged through education and training.  CIY provides programming events for every age of student ministry from 4th grade through college.  Christ in Youth’s mission is to amplify the call of Christ in students’ lives to become Kingdom workers through events, trips and resources.  www.ciy.com

Life Centers

Life Centers provides free services such as pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, 24-hour help line and confidential peer counseling to women who are facing unplanned pregnancies.  Peer counseling includes an introduction to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  They also support women who choose to carry their babies by providing maternity and baby items.  Lucy Urban, HDCC member, serves on the staff of Life Centers.  www.lifecenters.com 

  

Mission Services Association

Located in Knoxville, TN, this non-profit organization serves the communication needs of missionaries, ministries and congregations.  Since 1946, MSA has published newsletters, brochures, prayer cards and a missions magazine, HORIZONS.  An internet communication network, the missions network, was begun in 2011, providing podcasting services, publication of ministry needs, a missions knowledgebase and more.  MSA serves more than 400 ministries in more than 85 countries.  www.missionservices.com

  

Royal Family Kids Camps

Royal Family Kids Camp is a week of camp filled with fun and love for neglected and abused children in Indiana’s foster care system. HDCC provides funds for campers, as well as hosting a “Birthday Party” for the children.  For many of the children, this is the only party they receive.  Kathy Crane, a Hazel Dell Christian Church member, serves as a board member for RFKC, as well as a HDCC representative. 

  

Student Impact

Student Impact exists to help students become fully devoted followers of Christ, to help them in developing healthy relationships and to equip them in becoming effective leaders. Student Impact has a youth community center in downtown Westfield and is committed to working with local families, churches, educators and community leaders in providing support and direction for students in 5th through 12th grades.  Kim Carnes and Kathy Zabonic, HDCC members, serve on the board of Student Impact.  www.therockwestfield.com

 

TCM International Institute

Based in Vienna, Austria, TCM (Training Christians for Ministry) International Institute prepares Christian men and women for leadership and provides benevolent assistance in Europe and Central Asia. To accomplish its educational purose, TCM offers, through the Institute, one certificate and two degree programs and helps direct students in doctoral programs in theology in universities in Belgium and Romania. Wheeler Mission Ministries For Women and Children

The Wheeler Mission Center for Women and Children meets the spiritual, physical, material, and educational needs of homeless women and their children.  Lisa Hoffman, HDCC member, serves on the staff.  www.wmm.org

Wheeler Mission Ministries
