Tony Johnson
is the Children's Minister at Hazel Dell Christian and also serves as the Director of the Preschool. Tony has been on staff at HDCC since 2003 and started the preschool in 2005. He is a graduate of Lincoln Christian University, with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education/Early Childhood Development and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University. Tony married his wife in 1993 and they have four children.

Debbie Stephens
is the Preschool's Assistant Director and is one of our PreK teachers. Debbie holds a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Evansville and has over 20 years experience in the Early Childhood Education field. Debbie and her husband, Tom, have been members of Hazel Dell since 1993. They have three college-age children: Nathan, Nicole, and Natasha.

Julie Waldrip
teaches one of our 3's classes and one of our PreK classes. She has been on staff since the Preschool opened in 2005 and has been a member of Hazel Dell Christian Church since 2003. Julie is a graduate of Kentucky Christian University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and Bible. Julie has one daughter, LeeAnne.

Dana Scholl
has loved being our Two's Class teacher since 2009. Prior to this time, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with minors in Reading and Social Studies and a Master's Degree in Special Education, both from Ball State. Dana previously taught in a first grade classroom before choosing to stay home with her two children, Ty and Caitlin, who are now teenagers. Dana has been married to Mike, who works at Eli Lilly, since 1992. She enjoys sports, reading, and scrapbooking in her spare time.

Wendy Bergsma
teaches one of our PreK classes for HDCP and has classroom experience in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. A graduate of the Indiana Wesleyan University Transition to Teaching program for elementary school teachers, Wendy also holds a Bachelors of Art degree in Journalism from Ball State University. In addition to classroom experience, Wendy has written curriculum for kindergarten and 1st grade and has more than 12 years of professional experience in public relations and marketing. She has a deep love for children's literature and teaching children how to read. She also enjoys teaching children about how much God loves them. Wendy and her husband, Brian, have 2 sons.

Patricia Griffin
known to the children as "Miss Trish," has worked at HDCP since 2006. She has the biggest heart for working with children and enjoys seeing them each day. Although not a certified teacher, she holds a B.S. in Computer Applications and Informations Systems. She and her husband have 3 children who keep them very busy. A native New Yorker, Miss Trish has lived in several places throughout the U.S. The Griffins made Indiana their home in 2001.

Georgeanna Snyder
is an Assistant Teacher to the 3-year-old class. Georgeanna has been an assistant at HDCP for 6 years. She is a Jackson Central High graduate and a member of Hazel Dell Christian Church. She is a grandmother of nine and a great-grandmother of four. She and her husband, Charles, have been married for 51 years. Children have been a blessing to her all of her life. She feels it is a privilege to be a part of our Preschool and to work with such a great staff.

Krista Hilgendorf
is the Assistant Teacher in the 2's class. Krista has a degree in Elementary Education and previously taught 4 years in a first grade classroom. Krista and her husband, Kyle, were married in 2002 and have a 3-year-old son, Ryne.

Becky Beer
joined Hazel Dell Preschool in the fall of 2011 as one of our PreK Assistant Teachers. Becky brings over 29 years of experience with children, including her six children, two grandchildren and numerous children from her neighborhood! Becky operated a day care for three years, has homeschooled, and has had a photography studio since 2005. Becky and her husband, Bob, were married in 1981. Becky believes that our future lies with our children, and she feels blessed to be a part of Hazel Dell Christian Church and the Preschool.
